Sponsored by AT&T and Stellar, the Forum's discussion centered around capitalizing on new state leadership to optimize our regional and state economic development and workforce delivery systems.

Forum1Swoope focused on economic development reform and emphasized the need for regional teamwork, responsive organizational structure, strategic partnerships and having the right attitude, while Hart talked about securing the right talent so Florida can be globally competitive.

Forum2JPGGov. Scott began by noting that unemployment is down to 11.1 percent for the state and 10.2 percent for the Jacksonville region. He also touched on selecting the right priorities to focus on - education and getting the state back to work. The governor also allowed time for a Q&A with the regional elected officials and business leaders and answered questions about incentives, public/private partnerships and the new talent supply chain.
