Embraer Shows off New Aircraft at JIA
Pending a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense, Embraer has chosen Jacksonville as the site to build a new light attack aircraft at Jacksonville International Airport. Jacksonville Aviation Authority Executive Director Steve Grossman announced JAA will invest up to $2 million to renovate a hanger to accommodate Embraer’s operations. This project will add 50 jobs and $4 million in capital investment.

Florida State College at Jacksonville's new Aircraft Services Educational Facility at Cecil Field celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting this month. The $20 million complex is being funded by JAA and Florida State College at Jacksonville and will create an estimated 200 new jobs. - Area Development magazine ranked Jacksonville among the top 15 most attractive metropolitan regions for business.
- Downtown Vision, Inc. has launched a Coworking Initiative for Downtown Jacksonville. Coworking is the concept of several self-employed workers or workers from different companies working in a shared office environment. If you own

Northeast Florida Companies Named on "Companies to Watch" List
Seven second stage companies, six from Duval and one from St. Johns County, were named in Florida's inaugural "Companies to Watch" list presented by GrowFL. The companies from Northeast Florida include:
- Aerostar Environmental Services Inc. (Duval)
- Analytics Partners (Duval)
- B3 Solutions LLC (Duval)
- Blue Streak Couriers (Duval)
- DGG Taser and Tactical Supply Inc. (Duval)
- E3 Spark Plugs (St. Johns)
- Engineered Lining Systems (Duval)
A total of 50 companies from 18 different counties were selected from among more than 300 nomination forms. The companies represent industries ranging from alternative energy development to information technology firms. The combined impact of the chosen companies is $423 million in total annual revenue and 1,972 full-time jobs.
