The Jacksonville region is a global destination for business, with global access for businesses. More than 22 countries are represented by a diverse group of companies.
Our region is a designated a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), which helps companies operate more efficiently. The FTZ includes six of the seven counties -- Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns. We have an intermodal system that is second-to-none, a well-established Latin American trade lane presence and rapidly expanding Asian and European service.
We are “America’s Logistics Center.” Our transportation infrastructure includes 10 airports, four ports, a strong network of railways and access to major roadways and interstates.
Our deep water port, JAXPORT, has three marine terminals that handled 8.2 million tons of cargo in 2015, including more than 650,000 vehicles and more containers than any other port complex in Florida. It also helps support 130,000 jobs in the region and generates nearly $27 billion in annual economic impact.
