Clay County Poised for Growth in Global Marketplace

Economic development requires a unified vision for growth and success to be competitive. The collaborative efforts of our economic, business and community leaders working together on Clay County’s strategic economic vision were recently spotlighted in a news article in The Clay Today.

Clay County provides the business-friendly charm that is appealing to companies that want quick decisions on permits and incentives, and direct access to county leaders. A business incubator and accelerator program is in development to help local entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

With a population of 200,000 people, Clay County provides a stable and qualified workforce for businesses. It also has the second-highest household income in the region, proving that our residents enjoy a high quality-of-life.

The county has experienced a demographic shift recently with population growth that includes an influx of younger, educated people, so we need to continue promoting economic growth and capitalizing on the Clay County’s assets to be a player in the global arena.
