Project Announcements Add To Region’s Growth
A recent Florida Times-Union article outlines recent company expansions and economic development wins that have occurred within our region, helping to further add to the region’s growth and advancement. Companies are taking advantage of the area's talented, deep labor pool.
These announcements include:
• Citi, a consumer banking and credit services company, is adding 500 more jobs to its existing 3,500 employee base
• Macquarie Group, an international financial services company, announced plans to open an office in downtown Jacksonville in early 2016
• Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc., is planning a $300 million expansion to its contact-lens plant in Jacksonville
