Discovery World Furniture, Inc., a provider of high-quality wood children’s bedroom furntiture and sells to major retailers including Amazon, Costco and Badcock & More, will be consolidating its Sanford, Fla.-operations and moving to southern Flagler County.
The new facility will have a proposed footprint of 250,000-square-feet and be the largest manufacturing/distribution facility in the county. Additionally, the estimated $20 million capital investment will generate more than 50 new jobs for an estimated $15.8 million in annual economic output.
Anthony Lupo, executive vice president of Discovery World Furniture, said that in addition to incentives offered by the county, Flagler County was an attractive choice for the project due the site’s proximity to JAXPORT, which will allow the company to “save over $200 per container and [Discovery World Furniture is] bringing in over 300 containers a year.”
