The Walmart distribution center is the largest employer in Baker County and has the largest facility in the county under one roof with more than 800,000 square feet of freezer/refrigeration space for distribution of food within the Southeastern United States.

In 2012, JAXUSA worked alongside Bi-Lo (after the company acquired Winn-Dixie and now doing business as Southeastern Grocers) to assist with an incentives package to move their headquarters to Jacksonville.
