After an extensive search, Macquarie Group, a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services headquartered in Australia, has decided to expand to the Jacksonville region.

JAXUSA Partnership competed against 20 other cities for the project. The international financial services company plans to invest $3 million in Duval County and create 123 highly skilled new jobs over the course of the next two years. The first wave of hiring will include accounting, tax, and financial management roles.

“With the addition of more than 120 high-paying jobs — at an average wage of $64,356 per year – Jacksonville’s economic outlook continues to shine. The outstanding professionals of the Macquarie Group will be welcome additions to our city,” said Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry.

Macquarie operates in more than 70 office locations in 28 countries. Macquarie employs more than 14,000 people and has assets under management of more than $370 billion (as of March 31, 2015).
