Advanced Manufacturing Expected to Lead Economic Development in 2015

Development Counselors International (DCI) published its annual survey of corporate executives and site location consultants, A View from Corporate America: Winning Strategies in Economic Development Marketing. The findings were based on responses from more than 350 participants and were very telling about how economic developers like JAXUSA should be communicating to our clients.

An interesting finding from the survey noted that 47 percent of site location consultants identified manufacturing/production operations as the most common type of relocation project they expect to see from their clients this year. Our current prospect pipeline reinforces this finding. Currently, advanced manufacturing leads our active projects by almost half. We have 24 projects identified as manufacturing, which leads both office and commercial and distribution projects.

Northeast Florida is already one of the largest manufacturing regions in the state and this attracts manufacturers of all kinds to relocate to the area.
