Cosentino Group Establishes First U.S. Manufacturing Facility at Cecil Megasite

Cosentino Group, the Spanish-based global leader in the production and distribution of sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, announced today that it will establish a multiphase manufacturing facility in West Jacksonville. This expansion will be Cosentino’s first manufacturing facility in the United States.

The company produces natural and manufactured surface materials for kitchens, baths, floors and claddings, including those under the brand Silestone, Dekton and Sensa, among others.

The first phase of Cosentino’s expansion in Jacksonville will generate 180 jobs and a $270 million capital investment in a production facility at Cecil Commerce Center which is set to be completed by the end of 2028. The megasite was recently awarded a $5.5 million Jobs Growth grant by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the construction of a 3-mile rail spur.

The decision to expand production into the United States is a strategic move by Cosentino to better support its North American market, which now makes up more than half of their global sales. With the manufacturing facility’s prime location at the Cecil Commerce Center, Cosentino now has same-day access to more than 98 million consumers through Jacksonville’s transportation and logistics infrastructure that includes rail, air, maritime and highway.

“As we considered different cities across the United States, it quickly became clear how much Jacksonville and the state of Florida have to offer,” said Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino Americas and EVP of Global Sales. “The facility’s proximity to ports, railroads and key infrastructure, coupled with expansion opportunities and incentives at the state and regional level, make this a win-win.”

Due to Northeast Florida’s infrastructure, competitive business climate and access to talent, it’s no surprise that big names in advanced manufacturing are making moves to establish a presence here. With the addition of Cosentino, the Jacksonville region is further solidified as being on the map as a desired location for companies across the globe looking to enhance their production and distribution capabilities.
