Second-Stage Entrepreneurs Prosper in Jacksonville

It is with good reason that Jacksonville was named a top city to start a business by Inc. Magazine. Our seven-county region offers a rich and diverse economy, low operational costs and an entrepreneurial spirit that provide a cultivating and business-friendly environment that allow a variety of types of businesses to be successful, including second-stage companies.

Five homegrown companies from the Jacksonville area have been recognized on the GrowFL’s 2019 Florida Companies to Watch list. GrowFL assists second-stage growth companies in Florida. Second-stage companies are identified as those business ventures poised for growth in the stage between a startup and a large firm.
