JaxUSA Partnership Success Stories

Novolex, a North American sustainability company, is expanding operations and creating 25 new jobs and investing $6 million in the local economy. Novolex manufactures plastic bags for retailers and employs more than 5,000 at 37 plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. During the announcement, Governor Scott also signed HB 7099, which includes the permanent elimination the sales tax on manufacturing machinery, providing Florida with a competitive advantage.

Mark Daniels, Senior Vice President of Sustainability, said, “While we considered several sites throughout the United States for this expansion, it was clear that Jacksonville was the most business-friendly location for the Novolex team to continue growing.”
